After Nintendo Wii U great performance, company knew that they need to reconsider in their home gaming consoles. They saw how mobile games use availability in everywhere and decided to make a portable console which we recognized it as Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo was unveiled on March 3, 2017 and has an incredible price. Switch was much cheaper than PS4 and matched the then current price of Xbox One S. Nintendo had many ups and downs in history, but switch is the highest peak!

Unlike its contemporaneous rivals, Switch is a hybrid console. Being hybrid means you can either play on normal mode or connect it to TV and enjoy from windscreen. Buying Switch not only prevent you from buying a monitor but also let you carry it everywhere and enjoy jumping with Mario when you’re boarding on train or waiting at bus stop.

The Nintendo Switch is officially company’s best selling consoles and 5th of all. Till now 111 million units Switch has been sold and this amazing console is going to celebrate its 6th birthday. Unlike PS4 and Xbox One, Switch is still available and Nintendo probably is going to make a greater record with this minimal console.

The popularity of the Nintendo Switch is not unwarranted. Switch’s hybrid design is amazing for who wants versatility with their gaming experience. Nintendo has done terrific job of releasing some stellar exclusive games while also they’ve brought multiple third party games.

Remember that Switch is not without its faults. The hybrid design prevents this console to be as powerful as PS4 and Xbox One.  Lack of power is why Switch misses plethora of third party games and as the time goes the chance of getting these games is falling. What is convincing people to buy Switch?

As we mentioned, Switch is unable to perform all of third party games, but it has a great Library of exclusive IPs. Many of these games have won multiple prized and sometimes they are directing the game industry. The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Metroid, Xenoblade Chronicles, Pokemon and so on … are the best reasons to buy a Switch.

Why do Switch have three different models?

Usually 2 or 3 years after the main launch, Sony and Microsoft reveal the Slim mode which is smaller, quieter and use less power. Last generation we had mid-gen consoles after PS4 and Xbox One and they were stronger and more expensive.

Nintendo’s way is completely different. Let’s put Nintendo Switch Pro and its rumors away and focus on official models. Now, Switch has three models: 1. Nintendo Switch Normal 2. Nintendo Switch Lite 3. Nintendo Switch OLED.

Lite one is the cheapest and you can’t connect it to TV and joy-cons are unattachable and it worth 2 hundred bucks.  On October 8th, 2021 Nintendo released OLED edition which is the lightest, the widest right now and have more color options than others.

Nintendo still support his old consoles and they still release some games for them. Buying Switch means you have a great console which is going to be supported at least for next 5 or 6 years. If you want to buy a Switch today, there’s a great library of games you may have missed and you can easily experience them. Nintendo have off sales yearly and you can buy the games with the lowest price at the right time.

Why Switch is great?

After PS Vita’s failure, no one even could imagine that a hybrid console is going to have this destiny. Not only Switch was a great success but also it affected other companies and now Valve is releasing Steam-Deck which is literally inspired of Great Nintendo Switch.

One of the greatest options in playing with Switch is freedom in choosing your display and controller. If you like to play in cab or on your bed you can play on console itself and kill enemies with joy-cons, but if you want to play on TV, you may need a controller and Switch has the best one.
